Both new models are equipped with a 55 kWh battery pack, offering an estimated range of up to 234 miles for the Enyaq 50 and 232 miles for the Enyaq 50 Edition. The rear-mounted electric motor generates 170 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, allowing the Enyaq to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 9.1 seconds, with a top speed of 99 mph.

Notably, both Enyaq 50 models offer a peak DC charging speed of 145 kW, a significant upgrade from the 120 kW of the outgoing Enyaq 60. As a result, this reduces the charging time to 80% from 35 to 25 minutes on a suitable DC rapid charger. For AC charging, the EV model maintains the 11 kW capability, with a full charge taking around five and a half hours.

For the Enyaq 50, the pricing starts at £36,970 ($47,736) and comes with 19-inch Proteus alloy wheels, Loft interior Design Selection, a 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, and other safety features.

The Enyaq 50 Edition, priced from £38,585 ($49,822), adds full LED Matrix beam headlights, full LED rear lights, heated front seats and steering wheel, privacy glass, and additional safety features including Crew Protect Assist and extra airbags. It also includes tri-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and cooled wireless charging.

Interestingly, these new models replace the outgoing Enyaq 60 in the lineup, which now consists of the Enyaq 50, Enyaq 50 Edition, Enyaq 85 Edition, Enyaq 85x Sportline Plus, Enyaq 85 L&K, and the Enyaq vRS.

Furthermore, this release aligns with Škoda’s Next Level – Škoda Strategy 2030, which aims to position the company as one of the five best-selling in Europe by 2030. The strategy focuses on offering an attractive lineup in entry-level segments and expanding its EV portfolio.
