Polestar Shines At Goodwood Festival Of Speed With Concept BST Debut
Polestar Also Showcased Its 2, 3, and 4 Models At Goodwood Festival Of Speed
Polestar made a strong statement at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed with the global debut of its Polestar Concept BST and displaying its growing electric vehicle (EV) lineup.
The star of Polestar’s presentation was undoubtedly the Concept BST, a performance-focused EV based on the upcoming Polestar 6 model. This EV concept features customized bodywork completed in classic motorsport silver, with muscular flared arches, an extra-wide track, and 22-inch forged alloy wheels according to Polestar.
Moreover, the EV’s aerodynamic design includes a special vented bonnet, an aggressive front splitter, and an extreme rear wing, all complemented by racing-inspired graphics.
Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath expressed the prowess of the Concept BST, stating, “This car is a demonstration of how far we can push our performance brand – Polestar turned up to 11 if you will – and a demonstration of how we could apply the BST formula to our lineup in the future.”
Polestar’s EV Lineup
Polestar also showcased its expanded EV lineup including the Polestar 2, the new Polestar 3, and Polestar 4 SUV. As a result, this celebrates the first time all three EV models have been displayed together at a global event.
As for the Polestar 6 Concept situated in the first glance paddock, it made its dynamic debut by tackling Goodwood’s famous 1.2-mile hillclimb. Engineered alongside the Polestar 5, this EV concept utilizes the company’s customized bonded aluminum Polestar Performance Architecture (PPA) platform.
Visitors had the opportunity to test drive the Polestar 4 at Electric Avenue and the company also announced that orders are now open for both the Polestar 3 and Polestar 4, with test drives of the Polestar 3 already underway and Polestar 4 test drive slots opening soon.
As Polestar expands its presence in the competitive EV market, events like the Goodwood Festival of Speed provide a platform for the company to showcase its EV lineup for the public to see. Currently, the 2024 Goodwood Festival is running from July 11 to July 14.
