Lynkwell and ChargeHub have announced a strategic partnership aimed at enabling easier electric vehicle (EV) roaming and Plug & Charge functionality across North America, providing around 100,000 compatible charging points.

In details of this partnership, both companies aim to transform the EV charging infrastructure by integrating Lynkwell’s platform with ChargeHub’s Passport Hub. Through this partnership, EV owners will gain access to an expansive network of nearly 100,000 charging points, an increase that simplifies the charging experience by eliminating the need for multiple apps. This unified approach streamlines payment processes across various networks.

For businesses operating charging stations integrated into Lynkwell’s platform, the partnership brings heightened visibility and exposure. These charging stations will be featured on the ChargeHub app, accessed by over 1 million users annually, as well as through in-vehicle infotainment systems and web-based maps.

One of the key advancements resulting from the Lynkwell-ChargeHub partnership is the introduction of Plug & Charge capabilities, allowing EV owners to initiate charging sessions at compatible stations effortlessly. By securely automating authentication and payment processes, Plug & Charge enhances user satisfaction and reduces the complexity often associated with EV charging.

Beyond individual user benefits, Lynkwell’s integration with ChargeHub also includes offering branded Charge Point Management Solutions, supporting charge point operators (CPOs), and eMobility service providers (EMSPs) in optimizing their operations and services. This partnership effort improves operational efficiency and contributes to the scalability and reliability of EV infrastructure.

Opening Doors For Network Accessibility

Furthermore, the partnership also opens doors for automakers, other CPOs, and fleet management companies to benefit from this extensive network. As of now, more than 25 industry partners connected to the Passport Hub will have access to Lynkwell’s participating affiliate network infrastructure.

Jason Zarillo, president and co-founder of Lynkwell, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership stating, “We are especially excited about our partnership with ChargeHub to enhance the experience of all EV drivers and EV owners across North America, regardless of which network or app they choose.”

With this strategic partnership between Lynkwell and ChargeHub, its objectives address the primary concerns in EV adoption regarding charging accessibility and convenience.

By facilitating the charging process and expanding network coverage, enhancing accessibility and user-friendly features for EV owners and businesses alike will contribute the acceleration of the transition to electric mobility across North America.
