Lucid has dropped a new teaser for its Gravity SUV, sparking speculation that a fresh trim or special edition is on the way. The short 15-second clip highlights the electric SUV’s illuminated fascia and interior, while actor Timothée Chalamet appears behind the wheel.

The teaser comes amid Lucid’s ongoing push to expand its Gravity lineup, following the recent reveal of the rugged Gravity X concept.

Teaser hints at expansion of Gravity lineup

The video, titled “The journey begins: 09.04.25 | Lucid x Timothée Chalamet,” ends by flashing the September 4 date on-screen before cutting to an animated Gravity logo. The campaign builds on Lucid’s newly announced multi-year partnership with Chalamet, known for his role in the Dune films, and positions the Gravity as both a family-oriented and fashion-forward luxury EV.

The SUV joins Lucid’s growing lineup alongside the Air sedan and Air Sapphire performance variant, which already boasts 1,234 horsepower and a sub-two-second 0–60 mph sprint.

Gravity X concept points to future possibilities

At Monterey Car Week last month, Lucid unveiled the Gravity X concept, previewing a more adventurous evolution of the SUV. With upgraded approach and departure angles, all-terrain tires, and integrated tow hooks, the concept suggested a model aimed at blending luxury with capability, according to HotCars.

Importantly, the features shown were not far-fetched, making a production-ready version seem well within reach. The current Gravity already delivers up to 828 horsepower and as much as 450 miles of range on a single charge, while its fast-charging system can add 200 miles in just 11 minutes.

Lucid’s teaser suggests the brand is doubling down on keeping its lineup fresh and competitive as the EV SUV market grows. Whether the September 4 reveal introduces a special trim inspired by the Gravity X or a new edition entirely, the move underscores Lucid’s ambition to stand out in both performance and design.
