In detail, the EV4 shows a proactive shift in Kia’s design language, incorporating the company’s “Opposites United” philosophy. Both variants feature a distinctive front end with Kia’s innovative EV Tiger Face, complemented by vertical headlamps and the brand’s signature Star Map lighting. The sedan version illustrates an aerodynamic profile with a low hood line flowing into a long-tail design, while the hatchback offers a more versatile approach with robust fenders and a modern solid appearance characterized by contrasting black vertical C-pillars.

Karim Habib, Executive Vice President and Head of Kia Global Design, emphasizes the strategic importance of offering two body styles stating, “The Kia EV4 reflects our commitment to rethink mobility and expand the boundaries of what design can achieve. By offering both sedan and hatchback variants, we are bringing to our customers the unique experience of modernity and practicality that defines the Kia EV family.”

Performance and Range Expectations

Built on Hyundai’s E-GMP platform, the EV4 is expected to deliver strong performance capabilities. Industry analysts anticipate a range of at least 300 miles, with potential WLTP ratings exceeding 375 miles. The interior, though not yet revealed, is expected to feature Kia’s latest ccNC infotainment system with dual 12.3-inch screens for driver information and navigation, similar to the flagship EV9.

In addition, Kia has introduced a GT-Line variant featuring exclusive design elements such as wing-shaped front and rear bumpers and distinctive triangular-motif 19-inch wheels. The GT-Line enhancement emphasizes the vehicle’s sporty character while maintaining the core design principles of the standard models.

The event will also reveal the company’s expanded electrification strategy and introduce the EV2, Kia’s smallest and most affordable EV.

As the EV4’s dual-model strategy could set a new standard for how automakers approach the growing demand for versatile EVs, it draws a critical phase in Kia’s growth in the EV market while offering innovative, practical, and accessible electric mobility solutions for a diverse range of buyers.
