Kia and Genesis Offers $7,500 Discount Off Selected EV Models 

Kia and Genesis have made new discount offers on their selected electric vehicle (EV) models. These discounts are applied to Kia’s EV9 and Genesis’ GV60 and GV70, offering better deals for you to choose from. 

Kia’s EV9 has been the subject of compliments as it recently won both World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle at the 2024 World Car Awards. As of now, the EV9 is facing a discount of $7,500. This discount amount matches the federal EV tax credit as the EV model does not meet the requirements to claim the tax credit. With a starting price of $56,225 with a destination fee, the price has not dropped down to $48,725 after the discount. Notably, Kia has already made further plans to place its EV9 production in its Georgia plant to allow its buyers to benefit from the $7,500 tax credit once the construction is complete. 

As for the Genesis, its 2024 Genesis GV60 and GV70 EV models also have a $7,500 Retail Bonus Cash incentive according to CarsDirect. In terms of the price change, the 2024 Genesis GV60 and GV70 EV models are now at $45,850 and $60,300 respectively. As of date, this has been the largest discount offer for these models in Genesis’ EV lineup. With the GV60 and GV70 Electrified experiencing discounts, your chance to purchase a luxury EV model is here. 

These discounts are coming from several other companies doing the same with examples of Tesla offering at least a $5,000 discount on its Model Y. As the trend for discounts is being added to many EV models in the U.S., the accessibility to its pricing is being widened to a broader range.
