The 2025 lineup is the new KONA Electric N Line, which will “redefine electric vehicle style,” according to Hyundai. Priced at $39,670 (including a $1,395 destination fee), the N Line’s exterior design arrives with distinctive styling elements including redesigned front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and 19-inch wheels. As for the interior, it comes with sports seats with red stitching, N Line badging, and red accents on the wheel and dash.

Despite its sporty appearance, the N Line trim does not offer increased power output. It shares the same 64.8 kWh battery and 201 horsepower motor with the SEL and Limited trims. However, due to its larger wheels, the N Line’s estimated range is 230 miles, compared to 261 miles for the SEL and Limited models.

As for the base SE trim, starting at $34,270, it continues to offer an accessible entry point for potential buyers. It features a smaller 48.6 kWh battery and a 133 horsepower motor, providing up to 200 miles of range. As for charging, it can fast charge from 10% to 80% in 43 minutes.

All 2025 KONA Electric models retain the EV-derived design introduced in the 2024 model year including the distinctive pixelated seamless light bar across the front. In terms of the interior features, it showcases Hyundai’s next-gen infotainment system with dual 12.3-inch displays for the driver and infotainment screens, along with Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto support.

Notably, an addition across all trims is the inclusion of vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, allowing the KONA Electric to share its battery power with external devices or even a home during power outages.

In regards to pricing compared to its predecessor, the 2025 model year sees modest increases with the SE and SEL trims up by $160 from the previous year. The top-of-the-line Limited trim sees only a $65 increase, now priced at $42,445. While the KONA Electric does not qualify for the $7,500 federal tax credit on purchases due to its imported status, the incentive may still be available for leased vehicles.

With its affordable pricing, stylish design, and now a sportier N Line option, the 2025 Hyundai KONA Electric is elevated to become a compelling choice in the selection of compact electric SUVs.
