Hyundai Preps Exclusive N Vision 74 FCEV Supercar By 2026

Hyundai Motor Group has reportedly been developing its groundbreaking hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) supercar established on its acclaimed N Vision 74 concept. This is based on recent reports from South Korea projecting that the company is gearing up for its production with plans to roll it out by 2026. 

In 2022, the N Vision 74 concept was first showcased alongside the IONIQ 6 model with a blend of hydrogen FCEV technology and retro design cues inspired by the 1970s Hyundai Pony. As a result, this concept integrates a battery-electric system with a fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) setup.

Recently, reports from Korean news outlets suggested that Hyundai has started research and development actions on the components for the N Vision 74. Plans to complete parts manufacturing for it will be by July according to Hankyung. 

Furthermore, the production volume of the N Vision 74 is anticipated to be limited with only 100 units planned annually for the first two years. Moreover, industry insiders project the price point to be around $366,000. As for the specs, it comes with a 62.4 kWh battery size with a top speed of around 155 mph and an estimated range of over over 373 miles according to Hyundai. Other specs include a max torque of 900 Nm and 775 horsepower. 

With Hyundai portraying ambitious goals for its N Vision 74, the company is aiming for commercial success with the innovation of heritage-inspired design and next-generation EV technology. Preliminary trials are slated to start this summer.
