Hyundai IONIQ 5 N Claims Triple Win At 2024 Drive Revolution Awards

In a remarkable display of electric vehicle (EV) dominance, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 N has secured a clean sweep at the prestigious 2024 Drive Revolution competition, hosted by the Northwest Automotive Press Association (NWAPA). 

According to Hyundai, the all-electric high-performance IONIQ 5 N SUV claimed top honors in three major categories: Best Performance, Best Electrified Vehicle, and Best Battery Electric Vehicle.

The Drive Revolution event in Washington saw 20 automotive journalists evaluating 23 vehicles over three days, where the competition focused on advanced technology and performance vehicles, making the IONIQ 5 N’s triple victory even more significant.

Notably, competing against luxury sedans and six-figure supercars, the IONIQ 5 N stood out for its exceptional blend of power, precision handling, and cutting-edge EV technology. 

Olabisi Boyle, Senior Vice President of Product Planning and Mobility Strategy at Hyundai Motor North America, expressed the company’s ambition stating, “We set out to redefine what an electric vehicle can be, and with the 5 N, we hoped to demonstrate that high-performance, track-ready EVs aren’t just the future—they’re the now.”

The IONIQ 5 N, Hyundai’s first electrified model to bear the N performance badge, has been designed to deliver track-ready performance without compromising daily drivability. It incorporates motorsport-bred technologies under the N performance pillars: Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sportscar.

NWAPA president Nik Miles of Fox Morning News commented on the vehicle’s exceptional performance stating, “Many journalists were surprised with the 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N AWD and its ability to provide an exceptional blend of performance and innovation, combining powerful acceleration with precision handling — rare traits in an all-electric vehicle.”

The IONIQ 5 N is offered in a single, fully equipped trim that delivers innovative performance along with unmatched driver engagement and configurability.
