In a move that combines electric vehicles (EVs) with philanthropy, General Motors (GM) has announced that the first retail production 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, VIN 001, will be auctioned off at the Barrett-Jackson 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction.

According to GM, this event is scheduled for October 10 to 13 at WestWorld of Scottsdale and offers collectors a unique opportunity to own a piece of automotive history while supporting a worthy cause.

Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO of Barrett-Jackson, expressed enthusiasm about the auction stating, “We’re honored that Cadillac is bringing the sale of their first retail production Escalade IQ to Barrett-Jackson. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone to own an incredible piece of automotive history.”

What makes this auction particularly noteworthy is its charitable aspect. 100% of the hammer price will benefit the Detroit Children’s Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality education for Detroit’s children. This aligns with Barrett-Jackson’s commitment to philanthropy, having raised over $155 million for charitable causes in the past 53 years.

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ arrives with notable features, starting with an estimated 460-mile range on a single charge. It is equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system that delivers 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in less than 5 seconds.
