Bosch’s Charging Network Milestone Spans Four Continents Including Europe, North America, Asia, And Australia

Bosch has made an impactful leap in the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure landscape by expanding its global network to reach a new milestone of over one million charging points across four continents.
According to Bosch, the newly expanded network spans Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia, with around 800,000 charging points in Europe and 130,000 in North America. By the end of 2024, Bosch plans to add another 200,000 charging points across Australia, New Zealand, and Asia.
Marco Zehe, president of Bosch’s Electrified Motion division, expressed the company’s goal stating, “Bosch’s declared aim is to make charging points widely accessible and put an end to the chaos caused by different charging apps.”
To achieve this, Bosch has developed a proprietary platform that allows users to access charging services through a smartphone app. The platform is designed to integrate seamlessly with EV manufacturers’ infotainment systems, ensuring a consistent brand experience for users.
Bosch’s charging platform offers several key features to enhance the user experience:
Moreover, this anticipated surge in EV adoption is expected to drive significant growth in Bosch’s charging solutions business, with projections of over 50% annual growth through the end of the decade. Also, Bosch predicts that by 2030, one in three newly registered vehicles worldwide will be fully electric, rising to one in two by 2035.
As Bosch expands its charging network, access to over one million charging points worldwide will make a meaningful impact on the convenience of EV owners and accelerate EV adoption.
