The EV Training Tour Will Be Held Over 20 Weeks

With electric vehicles (EVs) getting higher demand in the automotive industry, Bosch has launch an EV Training Tour with AVI, a technician training organization. The tour is designed to train and empower automotive professionals and technicians with the skills and knowledge to ease them into the transition towards the EV industry.
The Bosch EV Training Tour with AVI is a major step into shaping the current automotive industry to gradually but surely embrace the EV industry. Daniel Angelo, Director of Technical Services at Bosch, underscored the company’s focus on providing automotive professionals their needs for servicing EVs.
“With the EV Training Tour, we’re offering an immersive experience that leverages diagnostic and repair techniques attendees will use when servicing electric vehicles,” Angelo stated. “This course is designed to provide technicians with intermediate-level skills in EV repair, allowing them to expand their understanding and skill set.”

Regarding the details of the tour, it will have three one-day, eight-hour courses in different cities across the U.S. at the beginning of July. Only 20 attendees can join each session, where a Bosch-certified AVI professional trainer will teach the Bosch-designed curriculum. The topics being covered in the curriculum include the fundamentals of EVs, electric motor concepts, power electronics, maintenance, troubleshooting, and much more.
Moreover, the attendees will also benefit from practical experience with the help of training aids designed by AVI with these aids including an EV Training Aid Cart (EVA) for simulating battery and motor diagnostics and repairs.
This EV Training Tour represents a collaborative contribution to the EV industry to impart knowledge, where the labor market for automotive professionals can see these actions be a benefit on their side. Actions like this also truly help the traditional automotive industry professionals and organizations meet EV owners where their needs are growing day-by-day as EVs get more accessible.
Tom Rayk, Director of Training at AVI, underscored the importance of practical experience for technicians on EV transition stating, “Our technical aids, combined with the Bosch EV repair curriculum, will arm technicians and shop owners with the real-world experience they need to thrive in this evolving landscape.”
