Automobili Pininfarina Celebrates 85 Years Of Batman With B95 Gotham At Monterey Car Week

Automobili Pininfarina, the Italian luxury electric vehicle (EV) brand, has revealed its B95 Gotham hypercar at this year’s Monterey Car Week. This EV model comes from a collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products (WBDGCP) and Relevance International, celebrating the 85th anniversary of the iconic DC superhero, Batman.

The B95 Gotham, which made its virtual debut on 30 April, is inspired by the lifestyle of billionaire Bruce Wayne, the alter ego of Batman. Reflecting the fictional character’s passion for high innovation, sustainable technology, and refined elegance, the open-topped, two-seat Barchetta showcases Automobili Pininfarina’s “Dream Cars, Made Real” brand promise.

“The B95 Gotham exemplifies how we bring our brand promise of ‘Dream Cars, Made Real’ to life for our clients,” stated Dave Amantea, Chief Design Officer at Automobili Pininfarina. “We place them at the center of everything we do, and delivering bespoke and coach-built cars like this one is all driven by our vision and commitment to design unforgettable client experiences.”

The B95 Gotham is one of four customized one-off EVs unveiled as part of the Wayne Enterprises Experience collaboration, including the Battista Gotham, B95 Dark Knight, and Battista Dark Knight. Each EV model represents the dual nature of Bruce Wayne’s character, with the Gotham specification reflecting his public persona as a tech-savvy entrepreneur, and the Dark Knight specification embodying his private life as Gotham City’s masked superhero.

Decorated with Wayne Enterprises logos, the B95 Gotham’s exterior features a striking Argento Vittorio gloss black paint finish, electronically adjustable aero screens, and distinctive black wheels with Titan calipers. As for the interior, it is upholstered in tan leather with bespoke quilting and includes a Wayne Enterprises-inspired HMI display and a virtual assistant voice inspired by Alfred Pennyworth, Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler.

In terms of performance, the B95 Gotham delivers a massive 1,900 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than two seconds. As a result, this makes the EV model the most powerful road car ever produced in Italy according to Automobili Pininfarina.

As this exclusive EV is the centerpiece of Automobili Pininfarina’s presence at Monterey Car Week, the company will be reaffirming its goal to designing and building ultra-luxurious EVs for potential buyers worldwide. The B95 Gotham will make its global debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, on August 16th.
