2024 Lucid Air Grand Touring Still Has Its 516 Miles of Range with Many New Updates

Lucid has revealed its latest updates for its 2024 Lucid Air Grand Touring with new updates implemented into this luxury electric vehicle (EV). These new updates include higher sustainable performance, faster charging, and a confirmed estimate of its high range. With these new updates, your options for purchasing a luxury EV have expanded now with the introduction of the new 2024 Lucid Air Grand Touring.

Longest-Range EV in the U.S. Market

Aside from its 819 horsepower, a standout feature of the 2024 Lucid Air Grand Touring is its range, where it is still the longest-range EV in the U.S. market despite stricter testing. With an EPA-estimated range of 516 miles, this luxury EV model has solidified its range through its engineering design and prowess.

Lucid’s CEO and CTO Peter Rawlinson expresses his enthusiasm about the 2024 Lucid Air Grand Touring retaining its range estimates stating, “The Air Grand Touring has retained its 516-mile range estimate, achieving this despite more-stringent EPA testing. More importantly, it delivers improved range and efficiency in a broader range of everyday, real-world conditions.”

According to Lucid, many new updates that have been added to the 2024 Lucid Air Grand Touring are its “proprietary motor design, battery cell chemistry, and thermal characteristics.” With these new updates, the Grand Touring now comes with more efficiency in its performance while being more sustainable for the environment.

New Heat Pump Feature

Another interesting feature that was added to the Grand Touring is a new heat pump that came from the Air Sapphire. The addition of this heat pump has many benefits, where it can warm up the Grand Touring when it is driving through extremely cold climates. Through this feature, it will still deliver its high-range performance, ensuring comfortability and assurance.

“The Air Grand Touring is our longest-range car – in fact the longest-range EV available today – and is now further optimized with a multitude of powertrain updates, including the Air Sapphire heat pump,” stated Peter Rawlinson.

Faster DC Charging

These updates do not stop there, as the Grand Touring now comes with faster DC charging speeds. The new attribute of the Grand Touring’s DC charging speed now has around 15 to 30% faster DC charging. As a result, this allows you to spend less time waiting at charging stations and spend more time on the road in a luxurious experience with the Grand Touring.

Higher Luxury with Higher Price

With these great attributes that the Grand Touring has, it does not come cheap as it has a starting price of $109,900. As Lucid claims its Grand Touring is “the world’s first and only fully electric vehicle with an EPA-estimated range of over 500 miles – 516 miles to be precise,” the costly price for this EV model might be justified within the luxury selections of EVs in the market. Also, there are other selections that Lucid has in its lineup that come at a cheaper price from its entry-level Pure model to its high-performance Sapphire model.
