The projection represents roughly 34% year-over-year growth and follows a breakout year in which the Chinese tech giant exceeded its own sales goals ahead of schedule.

Xiaomi is setting an aggressive growth target for its electric vehicle business, aiming to deliver 550,000 cars in 2026 after surpassing 410,000 deliveries in 2025. The projection represents roughly 34% year-over-year growth and follows a breakout year in which the Chinese tech giant exceeded its own sales goals ahead of schedule, underscoring its rapid rise in the highly competitive EV market.
Xiaomi entered 2025 with a delivery target of 350,000 vehicles, a milestone it reached ahead of schedule in early December. The company closed the year with strong momentum, announcing that it delivered more than 50,000 vehicles in December alone, its highest monthly total to date, though it stopped short of providing an exact figure. Finalized delivery data is expected later this month via the China Passenger Car Association.
Despite being a relatively late entrant to China’s EV race after formally announcing its automotive ambitions in March 2021, Xiaomi has quickly become one of the sector’s fastest-growing players. Its EV unit achieved its first quarterly profit in the third quarter of 2025, when deliveries reached 108,796 vehicles, highlighting improving scale economics as volumes accelerate, according to CNEV Post.
Xiaomi’s current lineup includes the SU7 electric sedan, positioned as a rival to the Tesla Model 3, along with the YU7 SUV, which targets buyers cross-shopping the Model Y. Together, the models have helped Xiaomi establish a credible foothold in China’s mid-to-premium EV segments.

Looking ahead, Xiaomi’s 2026 growth ambitions appear closely tied to a broader product rollout. According to a December 30 report from Chinese outlet 36Kr, Xiaomi EV’s preliminary plan includes launching four new vehicles next year. These reportedly consist of a facelifted SU7 sedan, a more upscale executive version of the SU7, an extended-range five-seat SUV, and an extended-range seven-seat SUV.
Sources cited in the report said the refreshed SU7 and the extended-range seven-seat SUV are tentatively scheduled for release in the first half of 2026. The SU7 executive edition and the extended-range five-seat SUV are expected to follow in the second half of the year. If executed on schedule, the expanded lineup would significantly broaden Xiaomi’s addressable market and support its goal of delivering more than half a million vehicles annually.
