Tesla posted the process in a video shared on X by the Tesla Charging account. The video shows the pre-building, delivery, and installation of PSU V3 Supercharger stalls, emphasizing the substantial reduction in deployment time.

The whole process begins with the pre-assembly of Supercharger stalls on concrete bases at Tesla’s Gigafactory in New York. Once assembled, up to 12 PSUs are loaded onto a single hauling truck for transportation to charging station sites across North America. Upon arrival, the units are craned into position and connected to the utility grid, promptly becoming fully operational.

Moreover, Tesla’s fast deployment strategy comes during its promise to open its Supercharger network to other EV companies. Following the recent opening to Ford and Rivian EV owners in North America, Tesla plans to extend access to additional manufacturers, including Polestar, Volvo, and General Motors (GM).

This milestone builds upon Tesla’s previous achievement in February, where it underline the opening of approximately one new charging stall every hour. Such advancements underscore Tesla’s dedication to facilitating convenient and accessible EV charging solutions for drivers across the continent.

In reflection to this latest achievement, the expedited deployment of pre-fabricated Superchargers reflects Tesla’s approach to addressing the growing demand for EV charging infrastructure. As the company continues to utilize its processes and technology, it aims to further accelerate the expansion of its Supercharger network to support the increasing number of EVs on the road.
