According to Tesla, the Software Update Will Be Release Sometime This Spring 2024

If you are a proud Tesla owner, new software updates are coming as the company now has previewed its new features awaiting for your Tesla electric vehicles (EVs) with a Spring Release coming soon. This software update will improve your user experience and Tesla vehicle functionalities while making your driving experience better.
There are several new updates into this Spring Release by Tesla from an announcement posted on its X account. As a start, the first unique feature of this upcoming software update is the Visual Updates designed for Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y EVs with the AMD chip. According to Tesla, there will be an “immersive full-screen vehicle controls when parked, large playback control &quick access to Recents, Favorites & Up Next in media player, and Expandable Autopilot driving visualizations, with a smaller map in the top right for trip guidance.” With these new visual updater in this Spring Release, your infotainment experience will now be filled with tunes that are easy to find while having a smoother navigation on the road.

Next, the Spring Release has a new feature called Auto Shift Beta available for Model S or Model X EVs starting from 2021. With the Auto Shift Beta, you can now have access to automatic shifting. This automatic shifting allows you to shift between drive and reverse gears according to the surroundings of your EVs. To find access to this feature, you can search in your Tesla vehicle’s settings.
Another feature in this Spring Release is the access to Audible in your Tesla EV’s infotainment. The Audible app will now be shown in your infotainment, allowing you to listen to audio books during a long journey in your Tesla. As for tunes, the Spring Release will also sync you Spotify into different EVs and devices. Now, you can also listen to your favorite music or podcasts along with audio books down the long journey.

As for convenient features outside of the Tesla EV, the Spring Release also added a Hands-Free Trunk feature. With this new feature, you can now open the trunk in an automatic approach by standing still with your Phone Key behind your Tesla EV.

As for safety features, the Spring Release now has a feature called Sentry Mode that shows a recording on your phone if your alarm is activated by pressing and holding notification. Hands-Free Trunk feature is only Model S and Model X starting from 2021 models along with the upgraded Model 3.
Briefly, the Spring Release also added increased regenerative braking. This means more range for your Tesla, slashing the chances of emergency searches for a charging station. Also, this feature is only for Model S and Model X starting from 2021 models.
