With The Latest RMB 10,000 Discounts On The Model Y And 0% Financing In China, Tesla Shifts Into High Gear To Hit Record-Breaking Q4 Targets
Tesla is pulling out all the stops to end 2024 on a high note, introducing a significant RMB 10,000 ($1,380) direct discount on Model Y Rear Wheel Drive (RWD) and Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD) variants in China.
In detail, the discount is available for vehicles delivered between November 25 and December 31, comes as part of the company’s most extensive sales incentive campaign to date.
Moreover, the promotion can be combined with Tesla’s existing 0% interest five-year financing offer, which has been extended through the end of 2024. As a result, this move is particularly strategic as Tesla aims to deliver more than 515,000 vehicles in Q4, hoping to avoid a year-over-year sales decline.
The discount applies to new orders, inventory units, and show vehicles, but excludes test drive and used vehicles. Currently, the Model Y RWD starts at RMB 239,900 (around $33,136), reduced from RMB 249,900 (around $34,517), while the Long Range AWD is now priced at RMB 280,900 (around $38,799), down from RMB 290,900 (around $40,180).
Notably, this multi-pronged approach of discounts and financing options mirrors Tesla’s global sales strategy, with similar incentives already implemented in Europe and the United States (U.S.).
One of them is offering customers three months of free Supercharging and its Full Self-Driving (FSD) subscription in North America, which runs from November 14th through December 31st, 2024, is available to customers who take delivery of a new Tesla inventory vehicle during that period.
As Tesla works to maintain its market position and meet ambitious delivery targets in its largest market, the latest incentives showcase the company’s aim to elevate its position as it releases more deals and discounts in different global markets.
