The improvements are minor, but they do make the flagship vehicles better.

Tesla has updated its flagship Model S sedan and Model X SUV with minor improvements, including a new paint color, improved ride quality, and slightly more range for the Model S.
These improvements, however, come at a $5,000 price increase across all configurations, as can be seen on Tesla’s official website.
Tesla’s update to the Model S and Model X includes a new Frost Blue paint option, new wheel designs that improve aerodynamics, a front bumper camera for improved visibility, dynamic ambient lighting, and adaptive headlights. Tesla also noted that the two flagship vehicles now have a smoother ride thanks to new bushings and an upgraded suspension system.
The Model X gains more third-row space, which should be great for occupants or owners who wish to haul items in their all-electric SUV. The Model S Plaid, on the other hand, features new, more aggressive exterior styling, while the non-Plaid Model S now offers 410 miles of range, up from 402 miles.

These improvements are attractive, but they do come at a cost. The Tesla Model S now starts at $84,990 while the Model X now starts at $89,990, $5,000 more than their previous prices. The $5,000 price hike also means that the Model S Plaid now costs $99,990 and the Model X Plaid at $104,990.
Both vehicles are available to order now, and both models show two to four weeks for delivery, according to Car and Driver. It remains to be seen if Tesla’s minor improvements for the Model S and Model X will result in a spike in the vehicles’ sales. However, the fact that the two flagship vehicles received some love from the company after the Model 3 and Model Y’s upgrades will definitely be appreciated by avid Tesla fans.
