NIO Achieves Record Deliveries For June 2024 Amid Leadership Change

NIO has reported record-breaking delivery numbers of its electric vehicles (EVs) for June and Q2 2024, alongside major developments in infrastructure, partnerships, and leadership.

In June 2024, NIO made a new record with 21,209 EVs delivered, scoring a 98.1% increase year-over-year. For Q2, NIO saw deliveries of 57,373 EVs, which is a massive 143.9% growth compared to the same period last year. As a result, these figures contributed to a cumulative delivery total of 537,020 EVs as of June 30, 2024.

Furthermore, NIO’s growth extends beyond EV deliveries as the company expanded its global presence by opening two new NIO Houses and adding 41 new power swaps and charging stations in June alone. By the end of the month, the company operated 155 NIO Houses worldwide, 2,482 Power Swap Stations, and 3,910 Power Charger Stations, with connections to over 1,650,000 third-party chargers according to NIO.

Moreover, NIO formed strategic partnerships with FAW Hongqi and GAC Energy, allowing shared access to charging networks. The company also launched its innovative Power Swap Station 4.0, supporting automated battery swaps for multiple brands and EV models.

Amidst these achievements, NIO announced a change in leadership with CFO Steven Feng resigning effective July 5, 2024, citing personal and family reasons. Qu Yu, previously senior vice president of finance and joined NIO in October 2016, has been promoted to the CFO position.

As for NIO’s aim for quality and innovation, it was further emphasized with the introduction of the All-Time Quality (ATQ) system and the achievement of 1 billion km (over 600 million miles) driven with its Navigate on Pilot (NOP) and Navigate on Pilot Plus (NOP+) autonomous driving features.
