California resident David Blenkle has logged over 250,000 miles in just three years.

A 2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium driven by California resident David Blenkle has logged over 250,000 miles in just three years, showcasing the long-term reliability of Ford’s electric SUV. Blenkle uses the vehicle for his private car service in Santa Cruz, California.
Blenkle’s 2022 Mustang Mach-E has become the backbone of his business, offering daily transport for university students and locals, as well as complimentary rides for veterans to VA appointments, a personal gesture inspired by his grandfather.
He charges primarily at home using a Ford charger set to off-peak hours, with occasional DC fast charging on high-mileage days. Despite the distance, his battery still delivers around 290 miles per full charge, aided by careful charging habits like keeping daily charge limits to 90%.
“I have a Ford home charger, and I plug it in every evening, set to charge when my electricity rates are lower,” he said, according to a blog post from Ford.

The high mileage validates Ford’s claim that Mach-E batteries are designed to retain 90% health at 100,000 miles and last up to 10 years. David’s experience goes further: original brake pads remain intact thanks to regenerative braking, and maintenance has been limited to standard tire rotations and cabin filter replacements.
His local Ford dealer handles inspections and upkeep, keeping the vehicle in top shape. Blenkle credits Ford’s BlueCruise system and quiet cabin with making his 12-hour driving days more bearable for both him and his passengers.
