While images of the vehicle have not yet been released, Conner shared several design and technology details about the upcoming model.

A new report from Kyle Conner of Out of Spec Reviews has offered an early look at Lucid’s upcoming midsize electric SUV, the Lucid Cosmos, ahead of its official reveal. Conner said he was able to see and sit inside a pre-production version of the vehicle, describing it as a smaller, more youthful interpretation of the Lucid Gravity.
While images of the vehicle have not yet been released, Conner shared several design and technology details about the upcoming model.
According to Conner, the Lucid Cosmos features a cab-forward design intended to maximize aerodynamic efficiency while maintaining interior space. The styling reportedly includes a distinctive rear design and strong lighting signatures, with the vehicle he saw finished in metallic red paint paired with a white interior.
Inside, the Cosmos is expected to offer a spacious cabin with a large glass roof extending beyond the rear seats and generous second-row space. Conner noted that despite the vehicle’s aerodynamic shape, the cabin still offers ample headroom.
Cargo capacity also appears to be a focus. The vehicle reportedly features a large front trunk and significant rear cargo space, including deep underfloor storage partly enabled by Lucid’s new Atlas drive unit platform.
The interior design emphasizes a minimalist approach with premium materials, including recycled fiber fabrics and extensive stitching details. Conner also highlighted practical elements such as physical turn-signal and gear selector stalks, along with a bottom-hinged accelerator pedal, which he said contributes to a more natural driving feel.
The Cosmos will reportedly use a new centralized electrical architecture designed to reduce wiring complexity and improve system integration. Conner said the vehicle features a centralized compute system and gateway mounted near the firewall.
The infotainment layout includes a single wide display panel stretching across the dashboard, replacing the multi-screen setups used by many competitors. According to Conner, the interface will likely resemble the system used in the Lucid Gravity.
On the powertrain side, the Cosmos is expected to use Lucid’s Atlas drive units, with a permanent-magnet rear motor and an induction motor at the front. The vehicle will reportedly operate on an 800-volt electrical architecture, supporting fast charging and compatibility with the Tesla Supercharger network via a NACS port.
While exact battery capacity has not yet been disclosed, Conner said the vehicle could offer 0–60 mph acceleration in around 3.5 seconds.
Lucid is expected to position the Cosmos as a more accessible EV in its lineup, with an estimated starting price below $50,000. The model would expand Lucid’s portfolio beyond the Lucid Air sedan and the Lucid Gravity SUV.
