Napoli succeeds interim leadership following a period of transition and now takes responsibility for guiding Lucid through its next phase of growth.

Lucid Motors has officially completed its leadership transition, announcing that Silvio Napoli has assumed the role of CEO effective immediately. The move follows Lucid’s earlier announcement in April and comes at a pivotal time as the EV maker seeks to scale production, improve operational efficiency, and capitalize on the launch of its new Gravity SUV.
Napoli succeeds interim leadership following a period of transition and now takes responsibility for guiding Lucid through its next phase of growth.
Lucid’s board formally confirmed Napoli’s appointment on June 1, with Chairman Turqi Alnowaiser expressing confidence in the executive’s ability to lead the company through its next stage of development.
Napoli joined Lucid with decades of experience managing global industrial and technology-driven businesses. Most recently, he served as Chairman and CEO of the Schindler Group, where he oversaw large-scale international operations and strategic growth initiatives, according to a press release.
In his first remarks as CEO, Napoli emphasized operational discipline, customer engagement, and organizational efficiency. He said Lucid’s priorities would include strengthening execution, improving cost competitiveness, and streamlining processes to better leverage the company’s workforce and technology.
The transition also marks a return for Marc Winterhoff to his previous role as Chief Operating Officer after serving as interim CEO. Winterhoff will now report directly to Napoli.

The leadership change arrives during a critical period for Lucid as it works to transition from a niche luxury EV manufacturer into a broader premium automotive brand.
The company recently began expanding deliveries of the Gravity SUV, a vehicle widely viewed as central to Lucid’s future growth strategy. While the Lucid Air sedan earned praise for its efficiency, range, and technology, the larger SUV segment represents a significantly bigger market opportunity.
Lucid continues to emphasize its vertically integrated approach, designing and engineering key vehicle technologies in-house. The company manufactures vehicles at facilities in Arizona and Saudi Arabia while continuing development of software-defined vehicle architectures and advanced driver assistance systems.
Despite earning strong reviews for its products, Lucid has faced ongoing challenges scaling production and increasing sales volume. Napoli’s appointment signals a renewed focus on operational consistency and cost management as the automaker works toward long-term profitability.
Investors will likely be watching closely to see how Lucid balances growth ambitions with financial discipline under its new leadership team.
