The California Special package adds unique visual details that link the Mach-E GT to its classic muscle car roots.

Ford is electrifying nostalgia with the debut of the 2026 Mustang Mach-E GT California Special, a modern tribute to one of the brand’s most iconic trims.
The new edition injects the EV crossover with a heavy dose of California flair, complete with coastal-inspired graphics, Rave Blue accents, and exclusive interior finishes that celebrate the Mustang’s rich legacy while pushing it into the electric era.
The California Special has been part of Mustang lore since the late ’60s, and this new Mach-E GT version channels that spirit with precision. Ford’s design team added blue detailing across the grille, wheels, badges, and cabin, paired with a striking illuminated pony logo on the front fascia.
A unique hood graphic that’s inspired by the layered tones of California’s coastline reinforces the limited-edition vibe. Inside, the EV sports performance seats wrapped in Navy Pier ActiveX and Miko materials, complete with reflective blue and silver stripes that extend to the center console, steering wheel, and floor mats, according to Ford Authority.

Under the retro-meets-modern skin, the 2026 Mach-E GT California Special packs serious muscle: dual electric motors deliver 480 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque, with an estimated 280 miles of EPA range. The package adds $2,495 to the Mach-E GT’s $53,395 base price, which is pretty competitive considering the price of rivals like the Tesla Model Y Performance.
Order books for the 2026 Mach-E GT California Special open October 22, with the first customer deliveries scheduled for early 2026. This should make the vehicle just in time for a new wave of collectors to add an electric Mustang to their garage.
