Ford has seen remarkable success in the Middle East electric vehicle (EV) market, posting record sales growth in 2024. The company’s goal to electrification and connected services has resonated strongly with customers across the region.

Doubling Market Share

Ford’s Middle East sales have doubled since 2022, driven by strong market share gains in key countries including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. The company is now the fastest-growing automotive brand in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

“2024 has been an exceptional year for Ford in the Middle East, with sales having doubled since 2022,” said Ravi Ravichandran, President of Ford Middle East. “This success is largely attributed to increased market share in key markets, as well as our extensive and freshest portfolio of vehicles.”

At the heart of Ford’s Middle East strategy are two standout electrified models – the Mustang Mach-E and the Territory Hybrid. Notably, the all-electric Mustang Mach-E, set to debut in the region next year, offers performance and range that are poised to redefine the EV experience.

“Mustang Mach-E represents a landmark moment for us,” stated Kay Hart, President of Ford’s International Markets Group. “It’s our first fully electric vehicle for the region and is truly one of the most exciting vehicles Ford has ever produced.”

Customer Experience in the Middle East

In addition to its electrified lineup, Ford is also enhancing the customer experience with the introduction of FordPass, a connected services platform set to launch in the UAE and Saudi Arabia in 2025. FordPass will offer remote start, cabin pre-cooling, and online booking options, putting the ownership experience firmly in the palm of the customer’s hand.

To further support its growing customer base, Ford is also establishing a new parts distribution center in the UAE, set to open in January 2025. This move is aimed at reducing wait times for service parts and improving overall customer satisfaction.

“Customers in today’s increasingly connected world expect personalized treatment,” noted Ravichandran. “We are reimagining every part of a customer’s journey to empower and simplify their lives.”

Positioning for Future Success

With Ford’s electrification push and commitment to customer-centric services, it has positioned the company as a formidable player in the Middle Eastern EV market, setting the stage for its continued success in the region.
