Ford is introducing a factory-built Special Service Vehicle (SSV) edition of the 2027 Mustang Mach-E, giving police departments and fleet operators their first turnkey agency package on the electric crossover.

Built off the entry-level Select trim, the law-enforcement package bundles dual-motor eAWD, a 91 kWh extended-range battery and performance hardware borrowed from the Mach-E GT.

Select-based fleet crossover adds GT braking and 91 kWh battery pack

Under the skin, every 2027 Mustang Mach-E SSV pairs dual-motor all-wheel drive and the 91 kWh extended-range pack with red-caliper Brembo front brakes.

By combining the base Select cabin with heavy-duty GT mechanical pieces into a “Select Plus” specification, Ford can offer fleet buyers higher performance while keeping upfront acquisition costs lower, according to Ford Authority.

Visual changes include bespoke two-tone front and rear bumpers—finished in body color on top and black below—alongside a gloss-black grille shield, black door cladding, GT badging and an illuminated front pony emblem.

20-inch wheels, cabin utility gear and earlier police fleet trials

Although Ford has not released official photography of the 2027 SSV yet, order specifications call for 20-inch machined-face alloy wheels with gloss-black pockets, 245/45R20 all-season tires and body-color wheel-arch trim.

Standard fleet and driver-assistance equipment includes heavy-duty front and rear floor liners, a washable drainable frunk, a mobile charging cord, Phone As A Key, Unbridled drive mode, a universal garage opener and Ford Co-Pilot360 Active 2.0 with a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors and reverse brake assist.

While municipal agencies in the U.S. and Europe have previously converted retail Mustang Mach-E crossovers for patrol duty—following Ford’s own GT-powered police pilot vehicle in 2021—the 2027 SSV marks the first dedicated factory build.
