FLO’s Ultra DC Fast Chargers Can Charge EVs To 80% In Just 15 Minutes

FLO has reached a new milestone with the assembly of its first FLO Ultra DC fast chargers at its Michigan plant, marking an important step in its goal to expand electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging infrastructure across the United States (U.S.) and Canada.

The FLO Ultra charger is revealed to capably charge most EVs to 80% in merely 15 minutes due to its dual-port 320kW power configuration. Moreover, the chargers are made in mind to comply with the National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Program’s (NEVI) standards and the Buy America Act. Notably, this production launch on FLO’s Michigan plant has gone through extensive testing on each charger to meet FLO’s standards for durability and reliability with a 98% uptime.

One standout feature of the FLO Ultra charger is its motorized cable management system, EZLift. This system is developed to keep cables off the ground and provide extended reach connecting to EVs regardless of the charging port’s location. As a result, it makes the cables feel lighter and easier to maneuver while reducing user strain and improving the overall charging experience.
Martine St-Onge, FLO Chief Manufacturing Operations Officer, expressed enthusiasm for the FLO Ultra DC fast charger stating, “As we ramp up production, we look forward to making it more accessible to own and drive EVs by bringing our FLO Ultra charger to more locations across North America.”
With FLO’s Ultra DC fast chargers, the advancement in EV infrastructure will underscore the company’s dedication to delivering a fast charging experience for EV owners by alleviating range anxiety and bolstering public confidence in EVs.
