Ferrari has unveiled the interior and interface design of its first fully electric sports car, officially named Ferrari Luce, marking a major step in the company’s transition into the electric era.
The reveal focused on the car’s cabin and user interface, offering the first real look at how Ferrari plans to translate its driving philosophy into an electric vehicle. The exterior design of the Luce is still being kept under wraps and will be revealed later this year in Italy.
Ferrari said the Luce’s interior was designed around clarity, usability, and driver focus. Physical buttons, rotary dials, and metal switches remain central to the cabin layout, paired with digital displays that provide essential information without overwhelming the driver.
Rather than replacing traditional controls with touchscreens, Ferrari emphasized tactile interaction. The cabin is organized into clearly defined zones for inputs and displays, with controls positioned to minimize distraction and reduce visual clutter, according to Ferrari in a press release.
The interior layout is built as a single, open space, designed to feel calm and spacious while keeping attention on driving. Ferrari said hardware and software were developed together so that the physical controls and digital interface behave as one cohesive system.

Ferrari worked closely with LoveFrom, the design collective founded by Jony Ive and Marc Newson, on the Luce project. The collaboration has been ongoing for several years and covers the vehicle’s interface, materials, and overall user experience.
LoveFrom partnered with Ferrari’s in-house design team, led by Flavio Manzoni, to ensure the concept could meet Ferrari’s performance, safety, and production requirements. Ferrari said the goal was not to reinvent its identity, but to reinterpret it for an electric platform.
Materials play a central role in the Luce’s interior. Ferrari highlighted extensive use of precision-machined aluminum made from fully recycled alloy, along with hardened glass used for displays. The company said every component was designed to balance durability, quality, and visual restraint.
Ferrari first revealed the technology underpinning the Luce in late 2025 at its Maranello facility. The interior unveiling represents the second phase of the launch, with the full exterior design scheduled to debut in Italy in May 2026.
Ferrari has positioned the Luce as the start of a new segment within its lineup, rather than a replacement for existing models. While performance specifications have not yet been released, the company said the Luce will deliver the same driving engagement expected from a Ferrari, despite its electric powertrain.
