Elon Musk Cites Design Changes On Delays Of Robotaxi Unveiling Event

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has confirmed postponing its Robotaxi unveiling event, originally scheduled for August 8th. The delay comes as Musk requested what he described as “an important design change to the front” of the Robotaxi.

In a post on X, Musk specifically stated, “Requested what I think is an important design change to the front, and extra time allows us to show off a few other things.” While Musk did not specify a new date for the event, it was previously reported by Bloomberg that Tesla was aiming to reschedule the unveiling for October.

Tesla’s Robotaxi project presents a major step in the company’s autonomous driving goals, where it is designed from the ground up to be self-driving, potentially without a steering wheel or pedals.
