The high-performance electric SUV, positioned as the fastest Cadillac ever, will soon go on sale through the brand’s dealer network, with pre-orders already underway ahead of broader launches in other RHD markets.
General Motors unveiled the right-hand-drive version of the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V in Japan as part of a broader push to grow Cadillac’s presence in the region, according to GM Authority.
The Lyriq-V represents Cadillac’s first all-electric model under its performance-focused V-Series lineup and is positioned as the fastest vehicle the brand has produced to date. The Japan debut also serves as a preview for additional right-hand-drive markets, including Australia and New Zealand, where the model is expected to arrive later this year.
Cadillac confirmed that the Lyriq-V will soon be available through its authorized dealer network across Japan, signaling a more structured retail rollout compared to limited or pilot EV launches seen in earlier phases of the brand’s international expansion.

Cadillac used the lead-up to the Formula 1 Japanese Grand Prix to showcase the Lyriq-V, integrating the vehicle into its marketing efforts around the event. The SUV is being featured as a show car at brand activations, aligning its performance positioning with Cadillac’s growing motorsport ambitions.
Pre-orders for the Lyriq-V in Japan have already opened, with the model priced at approximately ¥18.9 million (around $118,700 USD). The pricing places it firmly in the premium EV segment, competing with other high-performance luxury electric crossovers in the region.
The Japan launch reflects Cadillac’s strategy to leverage high-profile events and performance branding to strengthen its EV identity globally. As the company prepares to introduce the Lyriq-V in additional markets, the model is expected to play a central role in Cadillac’s push toward electrification and global brand repositioning.
