The flaw could lead to squeaking or rattling sounds during driving.

General Motors has announced a new service update for the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ after identifying a potential flaw that could cause squeaking or rattling inside the electric SUV.
The issue, linked to loose headliner trim retainers around the sunroof, affects both dealer inventory and customer-owned vehicles. GM has instructed dealers to inspect and repair all affected units immediately.
The service update, coded N252513480, directs dealers to replace eight headliner retainers, six surrounding the sunroof and two near the rear cargo area. Improperly fastened parts could generate unwanted cabin noises while driving. GM emphasized that affected vehicles must not be delivered or resold until the repair is completed, covering new, used, certified pre-owned, courtesy, and demo units alike.
Customers won’t need to schedule separate service appointments, as GM expects the fix to be performed during regular maintenance visits. The repair bulletin will remain active until December 31, 2027, ensuring long-term coverage for owners who experience the issue later in the vehicle’s life cycle, according to GM Authority.

This latest bulletin follows earlier Escalade IQ service campaigns, including a rear suspension fix (N252507500) and a battery software update (N252516700) issued for models built on GM’s BT1 platform.
The Escalade IQ’s production remains paused at GM’s Factory Zero in Michigan until the end of 2025, mirroring downtime for the GMC Hummer EV. However, output of the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV continues without interruption.
