Blink Charging has inked a major deal as one of the official electric vehicle (EV) charging providers for the state of New York. This collaboration from both parties is made to accelerate the transition of electric mobility while expanding its EV charging infrastructure.

In the agreement, Blink Charging will be providing its EV charging stations with Level 2 chargers and DC fast chargers. In addition, this includes offering services such as site assessment, installation, maintenance, repair, and product training. Moreover, Blink Charging will extend its expertise to deliver EV charging network services, facilitating monitoring, reporting, billing, and support functions.

Furthermore, Blink Charging will address the important aspects that EV owners prioritize regarding ensuring uptime and reliability in charging their EVs by recently introducing Blink Care, a preventive maintenance service program made to maximize uptime and reliability for EV owners. Notably, Blink Care can be added to the company’s existing warranty program for Level 2 and DC fast chargers.

Jim Nemec, Chief Revenue Officer at Blink Charging, expressed enthusiasm about the company selected to partner with the state of New York stating, “As we set our sights on providing holistic, targeted charging options for EV drivers throughout New York state and the world, we’ll continue to lay the groundwork for an electric revolution. It’s rewarding to have a direct role in reducing emissions while enhancing the EV driver experience in New York. We are grateful for the state’s trust and our shared vision.”

With Blink Charging aiming to bolster the reliability of its charging network, it is paving the way for broader EV adoption in New York. As New York adopted zero-emission vehicle regulations requiring all new passenger vehicles and light-duty trucks to be zero-emission by 2035, the addition of Blink Charging as an EV charging provider for the state will certainly assist that goal while accelerating the transition to electric mobility.
