Alfa Romeo has announced a notable power boost for its upcoming all-electric Junior electric vehicle (EV) model regarding the high-performance Junior Veloce trim. The top-tier Junior Veloce will now arrive with a 280 horsepower, which is an increase from the previously announced 240 horsepower version.

The Junior Veloce, Alfa Romeo’s first EV based on the e-CMP platform, will feature a newly developed electric motor delivering 207 kW of power and 345 Nm of torque. Notably, Alfa Romeo’s engineering team, responsible for the 4C, 8C, and Giulia GTA, has focused on maximizing performance and driving pleasure in the Junior Veloce. The EV model comes with several sporty enhancements, where it features a steering system with a 14.6:1 ratio, claimed to be the most direct in its segment. The sports suspension is lowered by 25 millimeters, providing a more aggressive stance and improved handling.

Moreover, reinforced stabilizers on both the front and rear axles enhance cornering stability, while a high-performance braking system with 380mm discs and four-piston monobloc calipers ensures robust stopping power. In addition, the Junior Veloce is equipped with a Torsen differential for optimal traction in various conditions and rides on 20-inch aluminum wheels fitted with specialized EV tires.
