2027 Chevy Bolt Configurator Goes Live in Canada, Revealing Trim and Feature Details

Chevrolet has taken another step toward relaunching the Bolt EV by opening its online configurator to Canadian customers. The digital tool offers the clearest look yet at how the next-generation electric hatchback will be positioned, highlighting trim differences, standard equipment, and lingering pricing questions ahead of the model’s arrival at dealerships in early 2026.

Canadian buyers get a better-equipped Bolt LT by default

One of the most notable takeaways from the configurator is a key difference between Canadian and U.S. specifications for the base Bolt LT. In Canada, the LT comes standard with the Comfort Package, an option that remains extra-cost south of the border. The package adds an 8-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, a heated flat-bottom steering wheel, and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

Chevrolet’s decision to make this package standard in Canada gives the entry-level Bolt a more premium starting point, particularly appealing for colder climates where heated features are often considered essential rather than optional. The configurator also allows Canadian buyers to explore multiple exterior colors, interior combinations, and option bundles, reinforcing the Bolt’s role as an accessible yet customizable EV, according to GM Authority.

Super Cruise pricing still pending as Bolt launch approaches

While the configurator provides a comprehensive look at the 2027 Bolt’s available configurations, one major detail remains unresolved. The anticipated Super Cruise Package is listed but does not yet carry a final price, suggesting Chevrolet is still finalizing details for its hands-free driver-assistance system ahead of launch.

The configurator confirms the Bolt’s continued focus on affordability, even as it adopts newer technology. The 2027 Bolt is set to become GM’s most affordable EV in North America, with production already underway at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas. Deliveries are expected to begin early in the 2026 calendar year.

Although its exterior design closely resembles the discontinued Bolt EUV, the next-generation model brings meaningful updates beneath the surface. These include a 65 kWh battery using LFP chemistry, a native NACS charging port, and a completely redesigned cabin featuring GM’s latest infotainment and driver technology.
