Chevrolet has opened the online configurator for the redesigned 2027 Chevy Bolt, giving buyers their first full look at pricing, trims, and features for one of the most affordable EVs in the U.S. market. The next-generation Bolt arrives with a sharper exterior, an overhauled interior, and a confirmed 255-mile range, with first dealership deliveries scheduled to begin in January.

New Bolt pricing, trims, and key upgrades

Chevy positioned the 2027 Bolt as a value-forward option in the EV segment, with the entry-level 1LT priced at $28,995 including destination. Early inventory, however, will consist of LT models equipped with the Comfort Package at $29,990. Above that sits the Bolt RS at $32,995, which can climb to $35,685 when optioned with the Tech Package and a sunroof. Every configuration delivers 255 miles of range, maintaining consistency across the lineup.

The updated model introduces a more refined look, adopting a sleeker front fascia and more sculpted bodywork compared to the outgoing generation. Inside, Chevrolet redesigned the cabin with modern materials and the brand’s latest digital interface. Buyers can choose newly available paint colors such as Atomic Yellow and Relic Green Metallic, while the Dual Panel Sunroof Package and Super Cruise hands-free driving system add premium functionality for customers wanting additional tech, according to GM Authority.

Powertrain details, production status, and early availability

The 2027 Bolt shares its electric motor with the Chevy Equinox EV, producing 210 horsepower and drawing energy from a 65 kWh LFP battery pack designed for durability and stable performance. Despite the platform shift, Chevrolet preserved the Bolt’s role as an efficient, practical commuter EV, an essential positioning as the segment undergoes renewed price competition.

Production officially began in November at GM’s Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas. According to Chevrolet, the first units are expected to reach U.S. dealerships starting in January, offering one of the earliest sub-$30,000 EV options for the 2025–2027 model cycle. With a combination of pricing stability, updated tech, and broad standard range, Chevy aims to strengthen the Bolt’s standing as a high-volume entry point into electric ownership.
