Unplugged Performance’s Up.Fit Reveals Tesla Cybertruck As Police Cruiser

Unplugged Performance has officially revealed its new Cybertruck police electric vehicle (EV) under its Up.Fit division, marking a new step in providing customized patrol EVs to law enforcement agencies.

Previously, the Cybertruck police EVs were hinted at earlier in a posted video and now these models are first revealed in a post on X by the Up.Fit division. In regards to the Cybertruck police EV features, they come with police lights, sirens, PA loudspeaker systems, and upgraded radio and computer systems. Aside from its imposing exterior design and technical features, it delivers over 300 miles of range, off-roading capabilities, and a 48-volt system according to Up.Fit.

Moreover, Unplugged Performance’s Up.Fit division has been renowned for converting Tesla EVs into police cruises with customization options designed for specific individual organizations’ needs. From tactical and military missions to search and rescue operations, the Cybertruck can be configured to meet various law enforcement requirements.

Ben Schaffer, CEO of Unplugged Performance, expressed excitement about the Cybertruck’s potential in law enforcement, stating, “The UP.FIT Cybertruck Next-Gen Patrol vehicle represents a significant engineering leap into the future, and we’re excited to offer law enforcement agencies the future of policing.”

In addition to the Cybertruck, the company has outfitted Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y for several police departments. Most notable has been the Anaheim Police Department, where the UP.FIT division designed and outfitted the Tesla Model Ys according to its police department’s standards.

With the deployment of Cybertruck police cruisers expected to start later in the year, enforcement agencies and its industry may see more EVs joining them as these influences are gradually increasing.
