Tesla Energy and SPAN Launch Smart Home Battery Storage Bundle

Announced on LinkedIn, Tesla Energy has teamed up with SPAN to introduce the SPAN + Tesla Powerwall 3 bundle, an advanced home battery backup system designed to enhance energy management and efficiency for homeowners and charging electric vehicles (EVs). 

The SPAN + Tesla Powerwall 3 bundle costs $11,500 (not including installation and taxes), offering a cost-effective energy solution that will save homeowners with EVs around $400 compared to purchasing the components separately. In contrast, a Tesla Powerwall 3 will typically cost at least $8,400 and a SPAN panel is priced at $3,500.

There are certain key features of the SPAN + Tesla Powerwall 3 bundle, with one including the 13.5 kWh of stored energy capacity with comprehensive whole-home energy data. Another key feature is the extended backup duration of the Tesla Powerwall 3 by up to 40% during power outages according to SPAN. All of this can be done through the SPAN app, which will allow precise control of which household items receive power while optimizing energy usage.

As of now, the SPAN + Tesla Powerwall 3 bundle is available in California and Texas. Other additional states’ availability will focused on later in the year. Furthermore, SPAN has assured that buyers will be matched with certified installers who are capable and knowledgeable in both SPAN and Tesla products.
