French-based Klissarov Design has introduced the Jeep Dune concept, a pint-sized electric vehicle (EV) that marries off-road aesthetics with urban practicality in a blend of imagination and automotive design.

While not an official Jeep product, the Jeep Dune reimagines the possibilities of micro-mobility with a rugged twist. Based on the Citroen Ami platform, the Jeep Dune measures 95 inches long, 55 inches wide, and 60 inches tall according to Klissarov Design.

As for its design, it features fabric half-doors, interchangeable front and rear fascias, and chunky tires that give it a distinctly off-road appearance. Notably, its most eyebrow-raising feature is an integrated DJ booth in the rear.

While the concept draws inspiration from Jeep’s rugged heritage, its theoretical capabilities are more limited. he concept takes cues from Citroen’s own My Ami Buggy, an off-road inspired variant of the Ami that was revealed last year.

Based on the Citroen Ami’s specifications, the Dune would likely be powered by an 8-horsepower electric motor with a 5.4 kWh battery, offering a range of up to 46 miles. This places it squarely in the category of short-range, urban transport rather than a true off-road EV.

Emmanuel Klissarov, the designer behind the concept, envisions the Dune as a potential addition to Jeep’s European lineup, complementing models like the Avenger and Renegade.

As automakers including Jeep continue to expand their EV offerings, concepts such as the Jeep Dune provide an intriguing glimpse into potential direction for electric micro-mobility. As of now, Jeep is preparing to launch its first global electric SUV, the Wagoneer S, in the United States (U.S.) market with a starting price of $71,995.

While the Jeep Dune may never see production, its creative design with urban mobility showcase the potential for innovation in the EV industry. With Jeep’s expanding its EV lineup, more off-road EVs will be considered as according to Jeep’s brand heritage.
