Enteligent, a developer of solar-powered DC-to-DC chargers for electric vehicles (EVs), has secured $6 million in funding to scale the commercialization of its innovative technologies. This latest investment, led by Taronga Ventures, brings Enteligent’s total fundraising to $19 million since 2021.

Sean Burke, Enteligent’s CEO and co-founder, expressed its mission by stating that it aims to “drive a paradigm shift in energy consumption habits by leveraging abundant solar power and our innovative technology to facilitate society’s transition to electrification.”

A key milestone for Enteligent is the delivery of the world’s first 25kW DC-to-DC charger to a major logistics company for its electrified delivery fleet. This long-dwell-time charging solution demonstrates the company’s ability to provide practical, real-world applications that meet the needs of global real asset owners and operators.

“Enteligent’s technology sets a new standard in maximizing solar energy efficiency,” stated Jonathan Hannam, Managing Partner at Taronga Ventures. “Their holistic approach to solar power optimization offers practical solutions with real-world applications that meet the needs of global real asset owners and operators. Together, we can significantly advance decarbonization efforts for real assets.”

In addition to the 25kW DC-to-DC fleet charging platform, Enteligent is also pre-selling its solar-powered TLCEV T1 EVSE. This DC-coupled charger can deliver up to 12.5 kW of fast DC charging, which is twice as fast as many AC Level 2 chargers while eliminating unnecessary conversion losses and saving up to 20% in energy.

Moreover, the company’s NMax PV module optimizers further enhance the efficiency of rooftop solar installations by providing rapid shutdown safety and ensuring continuous maximum output, boosting electricity yield by an average of 10%. These optimizers also qualify for the Inflation Reduction Act’s Manufacturing Tax Credit (45X MPTC) when integrated into branded packages by solar inverter suppliers.

With Enteligent’s innovative approach to solar-powered EV charging and the addition of this latest $6 million in funding, the company is well-positioned to scale the deployment of its advanced technologies and deliver efficient electrical power to EV owners and fleet operators worldwide.
