Enphase Energy Launches NACS Connectors For IQ EV Chargers In North America

In the realm of electric vehicle (EV) charging, Enphase Energy announced the launch of North American Charging Standard (NACS) connectors for its entire line of IQ EV Chargers in the United States (U.S.) and Canada.

The new NACS connectors will increase the compatibility of Enphase’s EV chargers with a wider range of EVs including Tesla models, while maintaining the robust functionality that Enphase IQ EV Chargers are known for. This development comes less than a year after Enphase introduced its IQ EV Chargers with J1772 connectors in October 2023.

According to Enphase, the company’s IQ EV Chargers are designed to withstand various environmental conditions featuring a NEMA 4-rated charging system that is safety certified to UL standards by Intertek Testing Laboratories. The chargers come with an industry-leading 5-year limited warranty and 24/7 customer support, highlighting Enphase’s commitment to product quality and customer satisfaction.

A key feature of the new chargers is their seamless integration with Enphase’s solar and battery systems. This integration allows homeowners to maximize electricity cost savings by charging their EVs directly from solar energy or through customized charging schedules. Moreover, the chargers also offer enhanced user convenience including the ability to open the EV’s charge port by conveniently clicking a button on the handle when the connector is close by.

Notably, the IQ EV Chargers are available in power levels ranging from 32 to 64 amps and are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, with an operating temperature range of –22°F to 122°F (–30°C to 50°C). The chargers come with a 25-foot cable and feature an auto-sensing connector handle for Tesla models.
