The all-electric Han models have introduced several notable advancements in their powertrain technology. Most variants, except the base model, now utilize an 800V architecture. This enhancement allows the Han to achieve impressive driving ranges, varying between 506 km (314 miles) and 701 km (435 miles) according to CLTC standards.

The EVs also feature fast charging capability, reaching 80% charge in just 30 minutes, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.9 seconds. For those seeking higher performance, the top-tier “Lidar Smart Driving” trim is equipped with a dual-motor powertrain, whereas other variants come with a single-motor, front-wheel-drive setup.

The PHEV versions of the Han showcase BYD’s latest DM 5.0 hybrid system. This advanced hybrid technology delivers a combined torque output of 315 Nm and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.9 seconds. In hybrid mode, the Han achieves a fuel consumption rate of 3.8 liters per 100 km (62 miles) and offers a total range of up to 1,350 km (838 miles) according to CLTC standards.

The 2025 Han features several subtle design updates. These include a new “Fashion Grey” color option and a simplified front grille design across all variants. For the interior, the EV comes with a 15.6-inch 2.5K touchscreen infotainment system, a 10-point massaging system for the front seats, and a 12-speaker Dynaudio sound system, enhancing both comfort and entertainment.

BYD has integrated several advanced driver assistance technologies into the Han. The DiPilot 300 system, featuring LiDAR and an Nvidia Orin-X chip, offers advanced highway and urban pilot assistance. In addition, the DiSus-C intelligent damping system provides adaptive suspension, improving ride quality and handling.

With over 800,000 units sold of the BYD Han since its 2020 launch, the 2025 BYD Han spotlights the company’s EV strategy to offer advanced technology at competitive price points, potentially reshaping the market of the mid-to-large sedan segment.
