Notably, the Mokka Electric is sold under the Vauxhall brand in the United Kingdom (UK) market while in the European market, it is under the Opel brand. According to Stellantis, the automaker has streamlined its powertrain offerings, discontinuing the 100 kW variant and exclusively offering the more powerful 115 kW electric motor paired with a 54 kWh battery. This configuration delivers a WLTP range of 403 km (250 miles) and supports DC fast charging at up to 100 kW, enabling a 10$ to 80% charge in 27 minutes.

With the 115 kW (156 hp) motor producing 260 Nm of torque, it enables an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.0 seconds and a top speed of 150 km/h (93 mph). The Mokka Electric will be offered in simplified “Design,” “GS,” and “Ultimate” trim levels, with customers simply choosing their preferred trim, powertrain, and color.

The exterior refresh introduces the brand’s modern design language while maintaining the distinctive Vizor front fascia. Notable updates include new LED lighting with three “light blocks” at both front and rear, replacing the previous single-line design. The vehicle features a black design line running from the hood to the rear above the side windows, and in keeping with the company’s “Greenovation” approach, chrome elements have been eliminated entirely.

For the interior, the Mokka Electric receives a comprehensive update with a new flat-bottomed steering wheel and a decluttered center console. The cockpit now features dual 10-inch displays as standard – one for driver information and another touchscreen for infotainment.

Moreover, the new system includes natural voice recognition, wireless smartphone connectivity, and a 180-degree HD rear-view camera. In line with sustainability goals, all interior fabrics incorporate recycled materials.

He noted that combined with the Corsa Electric, the Mokka has helped Vauxhall become the leading brand for electric sales in the B-segment.

German pricing has been announced starting at €36,740 (around $39,581), representing a dramatic price cut of up to €7,980 (around $8,597) compared to previous models while UK prices are yet to be confirmed. The model update is part of Vauxhall’s broader electrification strategy, with the company committed to offering fully electric versions of all its models by the end of 2024.

With the Mokka Electric now unveiled, the company’s position in the EV market in the UK and Europe are set to further elevate as it takes on other competitors in the EV landscape.
