Electrify America and Porsche Cars North America have announced an exciting extension of their charging collaboration, now encompassing the all-new Macan Electric, aimed to elevate the electric vehicle (EV) ownership experience for Macan Electric owners across the United States (U.S.).

Under this new agreement, Macan Electric owners will receive one year of complimentary 30-minute charging sessions at over 970 Electrify America stations nationwide. This extensive network, containing 4,350 chargers, provides Macan Electric owners with unprecedented access to fast-charging infrastructure. The benefit is available for one year from the date of vehicle purchase, allowing new owners ample time to explore and utilize this advantage.

The Macan Electric itself stands out with its charging capabilities, featuring an 800-volt architecture that supports charging speeds of up to 270 kW under ideal conditions. This places it among the fastest-charging EVs in the industry, with Porsche claiming a 10% to 80% charge time of just 21 minutes. 

Robert Barrosa, President and CEO of Electrify America, expressed the synergy between the Macan Electric and their charging network stating, “The Macan Electric is perfectly complemented by our Hyper-Fast charging network delivering speeds of up to 350 kW.”

To enhance user experience, Porsche has integrated several convenient features. Owners can activate their charging benefit during the Porsche Charging Service enrollment process. Additionally, the My Porsche app and in-vehicle navigation system allow drivers to easily locate nearby charging stations, verify charger availability, and navigate directly to them. Electrify America has also implemented Plug&Charge technology, making them the first open DC fast-charging network to offer this seamless charging initiation for capable vehicles.

This charging benefit is a testament to our commitment to providing our customers with the best possible ownership experience and to supporting the growth of electric vehicles in the United States.”

The 2025 Porsche Macan Electric, now arriving at U.S. dealerships, has received impressive EPA range ratings. The standard model delivers a range of 308 miles, while the Turbo model offers 288 miles on a single charge. Currently, the EV is equipped with the SAE CCS charging port, with no immediate plans for NACS port changes.

Notably, this collaboration makes charging ownership of the Macan Electric more accessible and convenient since Electrify America operates in 47 states and the District of Columbia, playing a crucial role in supporting the growth of EV adoption across the country.
