The standout feature of the Opel Combo Electric is its improved range, providing up to 345 km (214 miles) on a single charge. This is a major improvement of around 60 km (37 miles) over its predecessor. This increased efficiency in the range is attributed to advancements in the electric drivetrain and the inclusion of a highly efficient heat pump.

Powering the Combo Electric is a 100 kW (136 horsepower) electric motor, delivering 270 Nm of torque and a top speed of 135 km/h (83 mph). There is a selection of Eco, Normal, and Power driving modes while an adjustable regenerative braking system enhances energy recovery.

As for charging, the Combo Electric’s 11 kW on-board charger enables quick charging with 80% capacity achievable in around 30 minutes at a 100 kW DC fast-charging station.

As for the exterior, the new Combo Electric introduces Opel’s signature Vizor brand face that shows a modern and distinctive appearance. The EV is available in two lengths: 4.41 meters (up to 5 seats) and 4.76 meters (Combo XL, up to 7 seats). With a load volume of up to 4,000 liters and various storage options including a separately opening tailgate window and an optional panoramic roof with overhead storage, the Combo Electric is designed for maximum practicality.

In terms of its new technologies, Opel has supplied the Combo Electric with several features including the debut of its class-leading Intelli-Lux LED Matrix Light. There are also up to 18 driver assistance systems including Adaptive Cruise Control with stop & go function and a 180-degree rear-view camera.

Patrick Dinger, Head of Opel in Germany, expressed the Combo Electric’s versatility in features stating, “Top technologies, an all-electric and locally emissions-free drive combined with plenty of space make the flexible van a modern, comfortable, and sustainable companion.”

With its blend of increased range, advanced technology, and practical design, the new Opel Combo Electric will appeal to a wide range of buyers from families to outdoor enthusiasts. As the EV market sees more models added, Opel’s latest EV offering will elevate and stand out against other electric vans.
