After just months since the launch of the 2024 electric vehicle (EV) model, GMC has unveiled the 2025 Sierra EV Denali, bringing notable improvements and a more attractive price point to its electric pickup truck lineup.
The headline feature of the 2025 Sierra EV Denali is its increased range and lower starting price. GMC now offers two variants with an Extended Range version with 390 miles of range, starting at $91,995 (including $2,095 destination fee) and a Max Range version arriving with 460 miles of GM-estimated range, starting at $100,495
This pricing strategy represents a significant shift from the 2024 Sierra EV Denali Edition 1, which started at $99,495 and offered 440 miles of range. The new base model now comes in at nearly $10,000 less than its predecessor, while the Max Range version offers an additional 20 miles of range for a marginal price increase according to GMC.
The 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali, despite a price reduction, continues to offer many of the standout features that made its predecessor a top choice in the electric truck market. It still contains 760 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque in Max Power mode. The truck retains its 800-volt DC fast charging capability, supporting up to 350kW charging speeds, allowing for quick recharges. It also includes the Air Ride Adaptive Suspension for a smoother ride, the MultiPro MidGate expandable bed for increased cargo flexibility, and offers up to 10,500 pounds of towing capacity.
Additionally, the Sierra EV Denali can add approximately 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes when connected to a compatible fast charger, ensuring it’s always ready for the road.
For 2025, GMC has expanded the color options for the Sierra EV Denali, giving buyers more choices to personalize their truck. The new color palette includes six shades: Summit White, Thunderstorm Gray, Onyx Black, Dark Ember Tintcoat, Deep Ocean Metallic, and Moonlight Matte, providing a diverse range of aesthetic options to suit different tastes.
GMC is not stopping with the Denali trim. The company has announced plans to expand the Sierra EV lineup in the first half of 2025 with the addition of Elevation and AT4 models. These new trims promise to offer customers even greater choice and rugged off-road capability.
The 2025 Sierra EV Denali’s pricing and feature set position it as a premium offering in the electric truck market. While its starting price of $91,995 is still considerable, it represents better value compared to the previous model year. The truck offers a compelling mix of luxury features, impressive range, and advanced technology, including GMC’s Super Cruise hands-free driving system.
The 2025 GMC Sierra EV Denali is arriving at dealers now, offering customers immediate access to these improved models. With its combination of increased range, lower entry price, and retained premium features, the 2025 Sierra EV Denali looks set to strengthen GMC’s position in the rapidly evolving electric pickup truck market.
