According to GMC, the 2025 Sierra EV Denali now offers two distinct battery variants: the Extended Range with an EPA-estimated 390 miles of range, starting at $91,995, and the Max Range version offering up to 460 miles (pending EPA confirmation), priced from $100,495. Both prices include a $2,095 destination freight charge, marking a $100 increase from 2024.

The Extended Range model, which serves as the standard offering, delivers impressive performance specifications. It boasts a powerful 645 horsepower and 785 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, this model offers an impressive towing capacity of 10,500 pounds and a maximum payload of 1,350 pounds.

In contrast, the Max Range variant elevates performance even further. This model features a robust 760 horsepower while maintaining the same torque of 785 pound-feet. It provides a towing capacity of 10,000 pounds and a maximum payload of 1,500 pounds.

Innovative Design Features

Both versions come exclusively in a Crew Cab/Short Bed configuration and feature the innovative GMC MultiPro MidGate, which enables the truck to carry items up to 11 feet long while maintaining partial use of the rear seating. The Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, capable of a two-inch height adjustment, comes standard on both models.

The 2025 model year introduces a significant expansion in color options, increasing from just one choice available in 2024. The new color palette includes Summit White, which comes at no additional cost, as well as several premium options. These premium colors are Deep Ocean Metallic, Onyx Black, and Thunderstorm Gray, each priced at $495. Additionally, customers can choose the Dark Ember Tintcoat for $645 or the striking Moonlight Matte, which is available for $3,995.

Optional Equipment Enhancements

In terms of optional equipment, a variety of features are available to enhance the vehicle’s functionality. Buyers can select the PowerUp Level 2 charger for $599 or the upgraded PowerUp+ Level 2 charger for $1,299. For those seeking a more robust charging solution, the GM Energy PowerShift charger is available for $1,699. Other options include a soft rolling bed cover for $800, Cargo Management System Rails priced at $925, and a rooftop tent for $1,999.

Production Plans and Future Models

Production continues at GM’s Factory Zero plant in Michigan, with plans to expand to the GM Lake Orion plant at a later date. GMC has announced that the entry-level Elevation trim and off-road-focused AT4 variant will join the lineup in the first half of 2025, with pricing to be announced closer to their launch dates.

As the new Sierra EV configurations represent a more accessible entry point compared to the 2024 Denali Edition 1, which started at $99,495, the electric truck continues to be built on GM’s BT1 platform, maintaining its position as a key player in GMC’s EV strategy.
