In detail, the 13,800-square-meter showroom, jointly developed by CATL, the Qingbaijiang District government, and various automotive companies, acts as a centralized showcase for around 100 EV models from about 50 brands according to CATL. Moreover, all EVs on display are equipped with CATL-made batteries.

According to CATL, NING Space offers visitors a memorable “365-day non-stop auto show” experience, allowing them to explore popular EV models from domestic and international brands. Notable exhibits include EVs from CATL clients such as NIO, Tesla, and Xiaomi. The center provides a comprehensive “view, select, use, and learn” experience for buyers, with EV experts on hand to answer questions and offer personalized advice.

Li Ping, vice chairman of CATL, expressed that the new platform aims to bridge the gap between automakers and buyers during the ongoing global energy transformation. As for the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Luo Jian, he stressed that CATL has no intentions of entering vehicle manufacturing or sales, maintaining its focus on battery technology and support services.

In addition to the experience center, CATL launched its aftermarket service brand “NING SERVICE,” which provides a network of 112 professional service stations across China. The company also introduced a WeChat mini-program to provide users with convenient access to services including charging station locations, vehicle information, and educational content about new energy.

With the innovation plant, CATL has been making many strategic actions to elevate its position in the EV battery market. Recently, the company and BYD has been working on next-generation batteries with a 6C charge rate, which could potentially charge an EV from 0% to 100% in just 10 minutes. As a result, CATL is certainly set to dominate the EV battery industry in terms of innovation.

As China’s new energy vehicle (NEV) penetration rate exceeds 50%, NING Space is set to play a vital role in helping buyers navigate the increasingly competitive EV market. With CATL planning to expand this concept to more cities, it shows the company’s goal to accelerate the global transition to electric mobility.
