Cadillac is set to make a bold statement in the luxury electric vehicle (EV) market with its upcoming 2025 Escalade IQ. As the anticipation builds, Cadillac has launched an online configurator, allowing potential buyers to explore an array of options available for this groundbreaking electric SUV.
Set to begin production on October 7, 2024, the 2025 Escalade IQ will be offered in four distinct models: Luxury 1, Sport 1, Luxury 2, and Sport 2. Each trim comes standard with an impressive dual-motor powertrain and all-wheel drive, delivering a robust 680 horsepower and 615 lb-ft of torque in its base configuration. Now, potential buyers can view the specs of the new Escalade IQ using the official configurator tool.
For those craving even more power, the Velocity Max mode kicks things up a notch, boosting output to a staggering 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque. This potent combination enables the Escalade IQ to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in under 5 seconds, an impressive feat for a vehicle of its size and luxury class.
Underpinning the Escalade IQ’s performance is GM’s advanced Ultium battery technology. The SUV comes with a 24-module, 200 kWh battery pack, which Cadillac estimates will provide up to 460 miles of range on a single charge. Additionally, the vehicle doesn’t compromise on utility, offering a towing capacity of 8,000 lbs, making it suitable for a variety of lifestyle needs.
Pricing for the Escalade IQ reflects its position in the luxury market, with the base Luxury 1 model starting at $129,990, including destination charges. The lineup progresses through Sport 1 at $130,490, Luxury 2 at $149,990, and tops out with the Sport 2 model at $150,490. While these figures place the Escalade IQ in the upper echelons of the luxury SUV market, they are competitive within the emerging high-end EV segment.
Customization is a key aspect of the Escalade IQ experience, with Cadillac offering a wide array of options to suit individual tastes. The color palette includes six choices, ranging from the no-cost Summit White and Black Raven to premium options like the $5,925 Midnight Steel Frost.
For those seeking the ultimate in rear-seat luxury, the $7,500 Executive Second Row Seating Package adds captain’s chairs with ventilation, heating, 14-way power adjustments, and even a 10-point massage function. Entertainment options abound, including a rear-seat entertainment system and a 40-speaker premium AKG audio system, ensuring a first-class experience for all occupants.
The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is built on GM’s BT1 battery-electric truck platform, shared with the GMC Hummer EV SUV. This advanced platform allows Cadillac to push the boundaries of EV performance while maintaining the brand’s goal of luxury and refinement. Production will take place at GM’s Factory Zero in Michigan, a plant retooled specifically for EV production, underscoring General Motors’ broader shift towards an electrified future.
