At Ford Pro’s display at IAA Transportation 2024, the company’s lineup includes the newly orderable E-Transit Courier, a compact electric van, that takes center stage with its 43 kWh battery, offering up to 300 km (186 miles) of range and a 700 kg (1543 lbs) payload. The Ford E-Transit Courier is set to begin production in late 2024, with deliveries starting in 2025.

The company is also unveiling an enhanced-range version of the E-Transit, Europe’s best-selling two-tonne EV van. This new model comes with an 89 kWh battery and up to 402 km (249 miles) of range, catering to businesses with longer routes or higher power needs. Orders for this EV model will open in October, with production starting in early 2025.

Ford Pro’s electrification efforts extend across its entire Transit family. The E-Transit Custom, the electric version of Europe’s top-selling one-tonne van, is now in production with initial deliveries underway in select European markets. Meanwhile, the Transit Connect plug-in electric vehicle (PHEV) makes its European public debut, featuring a 118 km (73 miles) EV-only range and a new FlexCab crew-or-cargo body style.

Notably, Ford Pro is also marking the global public debut of the all-new Ranger PHEV at the event, expanding its electrified offerings beyond vans to include pickup trucks. The Ranger PHEV comes with a 75 kW electric motor and an 11.8 kWh (usable) battery, which delivers 690 Nm of torque. Interestingly, this is the highest of any production Ranger yet.

Connected Services and Solutions

Beyond vehicles, Ford Pro is emphasizing its suite of connected services and software solutions. The company is introducing a new Logbook feature in Ford Pro Telematics, designed to simplify mileage tracking and reimbursement for businesses.

Other innovative solutions on display include E-Switch Assist, a free online tool to assess fleet EV-readiness, and Ford Pro Charging, which offers customized depot charging solutions that have helped some customers dramatically reduce operating costs.

Ford Pro’s market performance underscores the success of its integrated approach. The company reported a 35% increase in global software subscriptions in Q2 2024, with over 95,000 paid subscriptions in Europe alone.

As Ford Pro continues to expand its commercial EV lineup and enhance its connected services, the company is positioning itself as a leader in the commercial segment. By offering comprehensive solutions that address the needs of businesses of all sizes, Ford Pro is accelerating the transition to electric mobility in the commercial sector.
