Electrify America celebrated its sixth anniversary with a new milestone achieved of recording massive growth in 2023 with over 10 million customer charging sessions for electric vehicle (EV) owners. Now, the company is planning to accelerate the adoption of EVs by expanding its charging network to 5,000 chargers by the end of 2024.

According to Electrify America, it has made notable progress in its track record from expanding over 900 charging stations across 47 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and six Canadian provinces in 2023. Notably, the company also expanded its operations into Hawaii and North Dakota, which increased its total number in its charging network to over 4,000 charging stations while upgrading over 680 underperforming legacy chargers to its DC fast chargers.

In addition, Electrify America has plans to open larger charging stations to accommodate the evolving EV market. One notable aspect of its strategy for expansion includes the deployment of Plug&Charge payment technology, where the charging process will be improved for the customer charging experience.

Importantly, since Electrify America’s major growth in 2023, showcasing a doubling of the sessions in 2022, the company has estimated that it led to over 1.3 billion electric miles driven. As a result, it steered clear of the consumption of more than 52 million gallons of gasoline. This presents a critical milestone achieved as the transition to electric mobility while sustaining the environment is being more appreciated than ever.

As Electrify America pursues its expansion plans that will benefit the EV industry, the bigger tasks of accelerating toward electric mobility and distancing North America’s use of gasoline cars are noted to the public with the company taking action to forward the revolution one charging session at a time.
